Fairmay Polo is the leading supplier and importer of quality polo equipment and gear to the southern African polo fraternity. Born out of our family’s love for horses and the beautiful game, our products are all carefully selected by us – by players for players.

As a family of polo players, all the equipment we sell has been tried, tested and personally sourced from the best polo craftsman around the world to bring you only the highest quality merchandise now available in southern Africa.

Alongside our range of polo and equine equipment, we are now focusing on a range of luxury lifestyle accessories that are handmade products sourced and handcrafted exclusively in South Africa.

We are proud to be working with independent skilled artisans here in South Africa and championing their skills and craftsmanship.  For every product that is handmade – one of a kind – each sale improves livelihoods, promotes enterprises that are self-sustaining and contributes to the local economy. The majority of the artisans that we work with are women, working to support themselves and their families.

Fairmay Polo is a tale of a typical South African farming family who have turned their passion for horses and farming, passed down through the generations, into a thriving, international business of importers and exporters of quality, world class polo equipment. The Chubb family;  parents, Brett and Charlene, and their two sons, Cameron and Blake, farm in the lush green hills of Mid-Illovo in KwaZulu-Natal and share a love for polo. Even the name, Fairmay, is symbolic of the importance of family in the business – a combination of the family’s farms Fairfield and Mayfield which have been passed down through the generations.

Headed up by Cameron, who started the business while still studying after identifying the demand for quality imported mallets, Fairmay Polo is focused on providing only the highest standard of polo equipment, based on tangible experiences from the family’s years of playing polo.

It was while studying Business Management and Entrepreneurship in Durban, on South Africa’s east coast, that Cameron’s entrepreneurial spirit was ignited while researching an assignment on importing polo mallets. What started out as a project soon morphed into a solid and workable business plan with Cameron approaching world renowned mallet producer George Wood of Wood Mallets in New Zealand for sole distribution rights in SA. Shortly after securing these rights, Cameron opened a workshop for repairing of damaged and broken mallets, and today, the Fairmay workshop receives deliveries of mallets for repair from most countries in southern Africa.

Together with his younger brother, Blake, who is responsible for marketing and brand management as well as stock control for the brand, and their parents, Brett and Charlene, the family are dedicated to growing the brand upon the principals on which it was founded and with the values they, as a family, aspire to; namely constantly striving to adhere to the values of excellence, integrity and respect, while staying committed and loyal to well-sourced manufacturers and suppliers, always with the satisfied customer in mind.
